nRF24 and nRF51 series end of life

Hello,

according to your website, nRF24 Series family is not recommended for new designs... as substitution you recommend to use nRF52 Series family. Can I ask you for the last year of life for nRF24 family? Or do you have any other suggestions with no Bluetooth connectivity and just 2.4GHz proprietary protocol?

The same question for the nRF51 series family? When do you expect the end of life?

Thank you for your answers
Josef

  • Hi Josef

Here on the Devzone, we focus on the present and generally don't speculate in the future of our products. AFAIK we have no plans of discontinuing either the nRF24 series nor the nRF51 series any time soon. Please contact your RSM (regional sales manager) for a more detailed answer. If you don't have the contact information, please fill out this Sales Related Questions form to get in touch.

We do not have any recent solutions without BLE connectivity, but all nRF5 series chips support proprietary protocols in addition to BLE.

    Best regards,

    Simon
