nRF9160 DFU over LTE detail steps

Hi, I am testing nRF9160 DFU over LTE function.

My question is:

1. This example will generate seven hex files after being built. Which file should I flash into nRF9160 sip? This guid didn't tell in detail.

2. Which network will be used to do DFU in default, LTE-M or NB1 ?

3. How to change code to use LTE-M / NB1 sim card to DFU if I want to evaluate this two types of network?

3. Edit D:\ncs\nrf\drivers\lte_link_control\Kconfig. Line 88: change to: default LTE_NETWORK_MODE_NBIOT to switch to NB1.

How to solve this error:

err -22 disappear after AT%XEPCO=0 and AT+CFUN=0

Sorry for the late reply. Have you changed the application version to 2 (or higher depending on what you have used before)?

Yes, I changed it from default 1 to 2.

I even setup a http server but failed to DFU on LTE.

Hi,

Which tag on NCS did you checked out? and which modem version are you using?

You should try to test hosting your image on nRF cloud first and see if that works. If you are setting up your own http server you server needs to support 'CONTENT-RANGE' header in http.
