what is the purpose of IF_SWD in pca20035

Hi, I got the schematic of thingy:92.

Now I have a question about netnabel: IF_SWD.

IF_SWD is connected to three nRF52840 GPIOs.

if the CTRL is high in IF_SWD, IF_SWD will be connected to nRF91_SWD.

It means that normal GPIOs of nRF52840 connected to SWD interface of nRF9160.

What is the purpose of that?

Is that for use of update the firmware of nRF9160 with nRF52840 act as an host to transport image file to nRF9160?

Hi. 

Just talked to our developers. 

This was added to have the opportunity to implement debugging-functionality on the nRF52 on the Thingy:91. So this is something that doesn't exist. 
It's just so that the HW shouldn't be a limiting factor.

We have the opportunity to debug nRF9160 with nRF52840.

But this design is not for OTA / DFU nRF9160 with nRF52840?

Can I understand the answer like this?
