Zephyre - How to send "Extended Advertising" packet

Hi all,

I have hardware as below:

nRF52840-DK - as an advertiser and the same type of board nRF52840-DK - as a scanner

My problem is that I want to send more data than 31B in advertising mode. Generally, I want to configure my advertising device (both are working on Zephyr RTOS) to send an Extended Advertising Packet but I cannot find any support regarding this case.

My first question is how can I configure Zephyr to send an Extended Advertising Packets - may be some manual or example are available?
My second question is how should be configured scanner to receive Extended Advertising Packets - I mean are there any specific settings which I should take into account?

Hi,

Zephyr does not support "Extended Advertising" yet. It is planned to be implemented in Zephyr in the upcoming months.

Have you maybe idea when AoA will be supported by Zephyr or SoftDevice (I read article few months ago about this and looks promising)?

There is no specific date for when the software support for direction finding (AoA and AoD) will be released, but we will have something available later this year.

I'm interested in this as well. Where can I find information about the progress on this feature?

Edit: I need this feature on the nRF9160. I'll start a new thread since this post if for the 840.
