NRF Connect 3.0.0 and Secure Bootloader

Hi, I'm using a PCA10056 DK board to start new development. I try to program DFU secure bootloader and SoftDevice using nRF Connect 3.0.0
My issue:
- configure both hex files on programmer

- start programming (Erase and Write)

- the program procedure starts, but after few seconds the blue bar is freezed, and the nRF Connect stops work. (see video here attached)

- I must force the nRF Connect termination (using task manager), restart program and reconnect the DK boards but nRF Connect is not able to show correctly the FW inside boards

What I wrong?

Hi Abele, 

If you flash them separately do you see the issue ? Have you made sure you have the latest version (Programmer v1.2.0) 

I would sugget to use nrfjprog.exe command line tool to test.

Hi Hung, thanks for your reply.
I tried the above two sequences:

- erase chip; program bootloader; program softdevice.
- erase chip; program softdevice; program bootloader.

I have same issue in any case.
My programmer:

Using nrfjprog it's ok, maybe the issue on Programmer or nRF Connect??

Could you give some more information regarding the 2 logs file. I can see that you were flashing the hex file one by one and it was successful ? 

If you flash the stock bootloader example instead of your bootloader do you see the same issue ?

yes, if I flash the files one by one i'ts all ok.
I'm flashing the BootLoader hex generated from your example \nRF5_SDK_15.3.0_59ac345\examples\dfu\secure_bootloader\pca10056_ble, and softdevice here \nRF5_SDK_15.3.0_59ac345\components\softdevice\s140\hex

Could you tell the Jlink version you are using ? 

If you combine softdevice hex and normal application hex do you have the same problem ?

No, If I load SoftDevice and Blinky example I have no issues.

I'm using the default hex files on nRF5_SDK_15.3.0_59ac345.

Just today my nRF Connect an Programmer were updated (see image).
I tried but I have same issue.
The log file has many more details, also for errors; here attached the file.

HI Abele, 
Please don't use the precompiled hex file. The precompile hex file already include the softdevice. 

Please try testing again with a hex file that you build from the bootloader project. If the issue persist please send us the 2 hex files that you use.

the precompiled hex file of bootloader example don't include SoftDevice (\nRF5_SDK_15.3.0_59ac345\examples\dfu\secure_dfu_test_images\ble\nrf52840bootloader_secure_ble_debug_without_bonds_s140.hex).
Have you seen the log file on my previous post?

In any case, here attched the hex files I use

bootloader_secure_ble_debug_without_bonds_s140.hex

s140_nrf52_6.1.1_softdevice.hex

Hi Abele, 

I was thinking you flash the precompiled hex file for the bootloader located for example here: \examples\dfu\secure_bootloader\pca10056_ble_debug\hex

I have managed to reproduce the issue you are experiencing with the bootloader .hex provided at the secure_dfu_test_images folder. 

I'm not sure what could be the problem with the hex provided at secure_dfu_test_images . I will report this error to our developer. 

But could you try to compile a bootloader project and use the hex file there instead ? 

I attached here the hex file I compiled it can be flashed with the softdevice with no problem. nrf52840_xxaa_s140.hex

I compile the project locate on \examples\dfu\secure_bootloader\pca10056_ble_debug as you suggets, but  I have same issue
No issue with your file.
What IDE are you using to compile the sample?
I'm using IAR 8.30.1
