MIFARE security support from nRF SDK/possible solution

Hi,

    We are looking for a secure NFC solution for our application. We want to make sure the tag is secured (cannot duplicate) and the reader, which is a NRF52840, needs to support it. We found MIFARE provides these capability. I tried to search on the forum and found a bunch of old posts. Could you share some updates on MIFARE plus or DESFile support in your SDK if there is any?

NRF52840 cannot be a NFC tag reader. It can only be the tag.

Seriously?

I just checked, MIFARE is known broken since 2007 - there was a talk on 24C3. Zero security or actual crypto on MIFARE whatsoever.
