Report Reference in Battery Service

Hi all,

When i walk-through the battery-service provided by nRF SDK, i note the presence of "Report Reference Descriptor" in the characteristic addition function.

I would like to ask the use case of "Report Reference Descriptor" in the Battery Service.

Please reply on this as i am eager to know about "Report Reference Descriptor" and when & where it will be used in BLE.

    Hi

    The Report Reference descriptor is defined by the HID service document and can be set if you, for example, want to attach a battery value to a HID device, so that a central understands that a certain battery value belongs to a certain HID service. This is AFAIK the only use case for this report reference descriptor. Please take a look at the HID service document if you need more info, attached below.
