Development Boards For Channel Selection Algorithm Modification

Hi All

I am now working in Channel Selection Algorithm (CSA), Bluetooth Low Energy. Basically, I would like to test both CSA 1 & 2, and also I would like to modify the CSA inside BLE, or even write my own CSA into BLE stack to test its performance.

There should be 3 requirements for the development board:

1. It will allow me to switch between CSA 1 & 2

2. It will allow me to control the channel map by software

3. It will allow me to use modified / my own CSA to do some tests

So I am wondering if Nordic has any development board suitable for my requirements.

Hi,

I see in your other posts that you have several nRF52840-DKs, you can use that for your project. And you will need to use an open source BLE stack in order to write your own CSA, for that I recommend the BLE stack in Zephyr.

Thanks for your reply! I have already asked similar question in Zephyr Forum, but got no answer yet. I have tried to modify "lll_chan.c" file in Zehpyr project, but it seems the file does not affect the channel selection procedure.

You should go through the places where CONFIG_BT_CTLR_CHAN_SEL_2 is used. See this link.
