Inputs via GPIO on the Thingy:91

Hi,

I need to read a couple of external inputs - think buttons (although it's actually a sensor with relay output). It's for a prototype obviously.

I need to connect at least 1 but preferably 3 "buttons".

Preferably I'd like to solder the wires onto the board. Where would I preferably connect these? I haven't seen any schematics of the board.

Worst case scenario I'll just solder them onto the connector where the built-in button is currently placed - if it's the only option.

  • Received a response from a HW engineer: "There are not many unused GPIOs connected to the nRF91 on the Thingy:91. In addition to I2C, you can find SPI on a few test points. Also, P0.10 is not in use. You could connect this point via solder bridges to INT2 on the ADXL372  or 362.

In addition, two of the N-MOS gates are connected to a test point, since the drain & source are only connected to connectors, you can use these GPIO however you want to. You will get a bit more capacitance due to the transistors then."

    Kind regards,
