nRF9160 - No devices available when running nRF Connect V3.1.0 - Programmer

I just received my nRF9160 DK. I got it connect with the nRF Cloud (with LED 3 and LED 4 blinking). I then started nRF Connect (Programmer) and the application crashed. I rebooted my machine and restarted the board. The board will start with LED 3 blinking, and then after a short while it will stop blinking and LED 4 will be on (not blinking). Whenever I start nRF Connect, it will always show "No devices available", and then after a short while it will crash.

I've spent several hours trying different things, but always end up with the same problem.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello,

Could you please provide some more information about the environment you are using? Windows or Mac? Does your board show in the device manager (windows) or system information (MacOS) on your computer?

The board will start with LED 3 blinking, and then after a short while it will stop blinking and LED 4 will be on (not blinking).

Yes, this is correct and indicates that your board is connected to LTE and awaiting data. More information here.

    Kind regards,
    Øyvind
