nRF9160 DK - LED 5 blinking when supplied with powerbank

Hi,

I have a MQTT-sample based application running and everything works fine. If I supply the DK through a USB cable connected with my computer, LED 5 blinks high frequently at the beginning (about 1 - 2 seconds) and then stays on. If I connect the DK through a USB cable with a powerbank (I have tried several ones), LED 5 blinks high frequently all the time. The application is still running fine, but it seems like the current consumption in this case is a lot higher. Is the blinking LED 5 signaling an error or something? Are there some conditions for the use of a powerbank?

Hi,

 

If the LED5, near the debugger IC, is blinking; it means that it is trying to enumerate over USB. When connected to a powerbank, it will never enumerate, so it continues to blink.
