No connectivity (Belgium)

Hi,

I already tried connecting my nRF9160 (in July) without success. I'm trying again but still no luck. If I'm right Orange has LTE-M already rolled-out in Belgium?

Anyone an idea why my board doesn't connect? I followed the Getting Started procedurehttps://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-Tools/Development-Kits/nRF9160-DK/GetStarted#infotabs

When trying with an Orange SIM everything seems to work =LED3 and 4 blink. So, obviously the problem is with the iBasis eSIM. Can I just enter my Orange SIM card info in nrfcloud platform?

iBasis has limited LTE-M coverage in Belgium, only covering Brussels and Antwerpen, see https://ibasis.com/solutions/iot-connectivity/network-coverage/.

The nRF Cloud platform only supports activation of iBasis SIM cards, but since you already have a working Orange SIM then you can just skip the activation step

Now, I also get LED 3 & 4 blinking with the iBasis eSIM, but I can't  pair the nRF9160 DK!?

Any idea why I can't pair my device not with my Orange SIM nor with the iBasis eSIM? Better title now would be: No pairing instead of no connectivity!

Can you open the LTE Link Monitor and capture the log output from the asset tracker firmware when you try to pair the nRF9160 DK with nRF Cloud?

guyd: It could be that you need to update the modem firmware. Can you download the latest version from this page and then use the nRF Programmer app in nRF Connect for Desktop to update the modem firmware?
