NRF52832-QFAA-R not able to be programmed - nRST line held low for no reason

I'm using the NRF52832-QFAA-R and currently I'm struggling to get the device to connect to a J-link.  The nRST line for some reason is being held low even with a pullup.  There is no short to ground and all power rails are up to 3.3V and clean.  I have a 32Mhz clock and 32.768khz clock connected, and the voltages on the LDO output for self feed look good too when compared to the dev kit.  I'm at a loss.  Has anyone else had this issue?

Hello Jared!

I actually got the issue fixed right before I left work.  Turns out, for some reason, I had to cut the nRST line to the programmer.  After I did this, I was able to program the device, and only then did the device enable its internal pullup on the nRST line.  Very weird issue (or intended operation not sure which).  So basically I have a button on the nRST line now, but it is NOT connected to the programmer or it won't program.

Weird, seems from your description that the J-link itself was forcing the line down. Thank you for returning with the solution. Could you also share which J-link module you're using?

J-link Ultra+
