BLE Cert Link Key Creation

Hi,

I'm working on getting our product through BLE certification and they are asking a few quesion's that I'm not sure about.

1: Pairing. Is it using a fixed PIN or variable PIN? I assume since I am using the Just Works method it is using the fixed key of 000000. Is this a correct assumption?

2: Link Key. Is the creation of the link key done using the Unit Key? Or a Combination Key?

I am using the nrf51822 with Softdevice s110 v 7.0

  • You should need to worry about these things, you should just use one of our QDID. Our SoftDevice is already certified. For the QFN package, see this. For the WLCSP package, see this.

    1. Just Works doesn't use a key.
    2. Does this has anything to do with BLE? Isn't this classic bluetooth (BR/EDR)?
