how to enable coin cell

Hi, I would like to power my development board from the provided coin cell. I removed the plastic between battery and negative contact point. I put VDD position on power source switch but nothing happened. Is it because I have to solder SB35 to be able to power the board from coin cell? I read the user guide but did not understand very well. Thanks in advance.

Hi, 

Please try this setting:

• nRF power source switch (SW9): VDD (default)
• According to Solder bridge configuration:
  • SB35 Short to bypass the power switch on the coin cell battery power
  • SB39 Short to bypass the power switch for regulator, coin cell, or external supply

Make sure that you only connect the external supply and no other power source.
