nrf52832 , switch central mode to peripheral mode

Hi, 

I have to nrf52832 , s132 modules working as peripheral and central.

I would like to get an idea and input on how to change central mode to peripheral mode.

The purpose of my project is to fetch the advertising device RSSI (nrf52832- peripheral)and then forward(nrf52832 central mode to peripheral mode) the data to another BLE module and publish the data.

1) How to change the operating modes?

2} What are the settings that i should consider at the peripheral that is advertising?

3)How can i proceed ?

4) How can i send the RSSI values of the advertising packet, in the scan report of central after changing in the operating mode to peripheral to advertise that data?

Note that (some of) the SoftDevices support both Central & Peripheral at the same time - so no need to switch between the two roles 

Have you looked at the Relay example?

is there a way where i do not switch modes but send over the advertising device RSSI  in the scan report of central to other device?

This kind of thing is really hard to explain in words - especially when there's also a language barrier!

I think guma needs to provide a diagram illustrating the requirement.

This is from the Relay example that I mentioned earlier:

So, in tesc's post, 

• 'Device A' would be the 'Peripherals';
• 'Device B' would be the 'Relay' - which would be guma's device;
• 'Device C' would be the 'Central'.

This is what trying to achieve.

Device 1: in the broadcaster role. This is the device advertising.

Device 2 : in the broadcaster role. This is the device advertising.

Central :Scanning and getting RSSI (as of now this is just as observer)

Another peripheral : have to establish connection with that central and get the RSSI values and publish to know which device is nearer to central.(something like having the advertising devices on the assets and then tracking them ).

So what you have is

1. " Central" part - collects RSSI data; stores it in suitable variables;
2. "Peripheral" part - reads from those variables; sends the collected data on ...

As with any project, take it one step at a time:

1. Just Collect RSSI; store in an array (or whatever).
2. Just Transmit data - any data - from an array (or whatever).
3. Combine the two.

I am able to collect the RSSI values and transmit that data (the first half of the diagram on the left).

what i want to do now is i want hose obtained values to be sent over ble to another peripheral device.

To do this i need to establish connection right?

to get understand how i should proceed i tried to connect peripheral and central using gap connection , scan parametrs and i am able to connect obtain nrf success with sd_ble_gap_connect .

i am connecting based on peer address.

scan, get scan report, BLE_GAP_EVT_ADV_REPORT:, i called sd_ble_gap_connect and when success fetched rssi. The connected state BLE_GAP_EVT_CONNECTED, i don tget continuous.

So is this the correct way to connect?

how can i get continuously rssi values ?

In that diagram, everything within the red box is running on a single nRF device - isn't it?

If not, please provide a more complete diagram.
