How to use nRF52DK as sniffer

Hi Nordic team,

I have 2 nRF52 Development kits. I want to use one of them as sniffer.

Please let me know if this is possible.

If possible please let me know where can i get the hex file for sniffer and the procedure to connect it and see the packets.

Hi,

You can use the nRF52 DK as a simple BLE sniffer using nRF Sniffer for Bluetooth LE. This is essentially a plugin for Wireshark and accompanying firmware for the nRF device to be used as a sniffer. Note that this will be a very simple sniffer since, for instance, it can only listen to a single channel a time. So while it can be very useful, it is still nowhere near what you get from a professional BLE sniffer.

Hi,

I am able to see only advertising packet. After pairing I am not able to see any packets from the device.

I entered the pass code key after that I am getting below error. 

Encrypted packet decrypted incorrectly (bad MIC)
