Hi
I have a question about the new chip nRF52811, it supports AoA direction finding, but it doesn't support Bluetooth mesh?
There's no chip can support both AoA and mesh at this time?
Thanks,
Cindy

it doesn't support Bluetooth mesh
What makes you say that?
I think the limitation would be the memory size:

Hi,
awneil said:I think the limitation would be the memory size:
This is correct. There might be some conflicts between Mesh traffic and AoA, depending on role and configurations, that might have to be ironed out, but there should not be anything preventing the device from doing AoA every now and then. Our Mesh SDK has limited support for nRF52810, I am not entirely sure why nRF52811 is not mentioned, but all examples and applications should run equally well on nRF52811 as on nRF52810.

Probably not but there might be one day. You need to contact the Nordic Sales Manager operating in your region, drop me a PM if you want contact information.
Best regards,
Andreas
Hi Andreas,
So if my understanding is right, nRF52811 supports AoA and limited support for mesh because of the memory size?
Thanks,
Cindy
Hi,
Correct, you should look into the Mesh SDK to see what is supported and what is not.
Best regards,
Andreas
and the link I gave earlier shows the kind of ballpark we're talking in terms of memory requirements ...
aweil,
thank you very much, I'll look into it.
