Hello, 

I was wondering when a device needs to be certified and if that is a country by country basis? If you were to follow the circuit guide lines, would you still need to go through certification? If you were to use a preexisting module, would you also need to go through certifications?

I'm not from Nordic, but the module form of the chip we use is from InsightSIP, and they were able to help us understand what testing is covered by using their part and what testing is still up to us.

Hi,

 

As kindly shared by Keith, you need to look into what certifications apply for each module, and if any precautions must be taken. There are a wide number of modules and vendors, and such no 'one answer fits all'.
