How to programing in nRF9160 DK for PSM mode and eDRX mode?

Hi all

We are using nRF9160 gone through all tutorial like GPS,GPIO peripherals,Led blinking

Now my main question is How to use PSM mode and eDRX mode program for nRF9160 ?
like what are sample code or API or something help full.

we are using Segger Embedded Stdio and i also gone with Asset tracker Application.

to enable PSM: 

    lte_lc_psm_req(true);

eDRX mode:

  CONFIG_POWER_OPTIMIZATION_ENABLE=n

in prj.conf

you can see in Kconfig file

This is in asset_tracker application now.  I am trying to get it to work myself, but am not sure how to determine if it is actually in eDRX or PSM modes.
