Tx power after PHY update

In our application we have made a connection between two nrf52840 devices.  with softdevice 6.1.1

normally we operate in 1Mbit mode and tx power on 8. 

if we change from normally 1Mbit operation to coded phy the Tx power must also be set to 8

our question is: is the tx power set back to default 0 after phy update?

The TX power will stay the same when you update the PHY. You can read a very thorough explanation on how the TX power setting works in this post.
