The consumption issue for Zigbee/BLE multiprotocol in door lock example

Hi Sir,

Since Zigbee_Thread 3.2 released, we prepared two 52840-DKs for consumption test.

One is the door lock example (device #1 Thread_Zigbee_3.2.0\examples\multiprotocol\ble_zigbee\ble_zigbee_dynamic_door_lock_nus).

Another is CLI example (device #2, Thread_Zigbee_3.2.0\examples\zigbee\experimental\cli\cli_agent_router).

The test step as below.

1. power on the device #1

2. power on the device #2 w/ follow the below command.

> bdb role zc

> bdb start

> zdo match_desc ffff ffff 0104 1 0101 0

> zdo ieee_addr 0x????

3. Then use nRF connect (cell phone) connect to the device #1

4. Measure the consumption of device #1 w/ PPK.

We got the result as below. 

For door lock application, the 530 uA (DCDC enable) is too high.

How could we get lower consumption?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. If you comment out leds_pwm_init() in main(), the current consumption should go down. The PWM requires the HF clock to be running, which consumes about 0.5mA.
