USB CDC UART is recognized as Teensy COM port.

The comport generated by the USB CDC UART example  is showing up as a comport; However when I start sending something my terminal program is crashing.

When I look in the device manager, that comport is listed as a "Teensy comport".

So there must be something wrong on my PC (windows 7).

Any tip or hint on getting this solved is highly appreciated, thanks, Karel.

Thanks, now I see in device manager "nRF52 USB CDC Demo (COM41)", so the teensy is gone now.
However when I send something to that comport, my terminal is crashing, just the way it did before.
When doing the update driver, I pointed to "SDK/Examples" directory to search for a driver; is that correct?

Switched now to putty.exe

I was expecting to see a message like "Hello USB CDC FA demo: XX", but I can only observe that the LD2 toggles between red and green each time I send a byte over to the nRF52 (on COM41).

With other words, putty.exe does not crash like my other terminal program.

I'm glad the driver issue is solved. For Putty, did you follow the instructions in the example documentation? 

1. Using a terminal emulator, for example PuTTY with the following Terminal settings, send test data from the host computer to the development kit. LED 3 will blink.
2. Press Button 1. A test frame will be sent from the development kit. LED 4 state will change. If you are using a terminal emulator, you can see the transmitted data on it as well.
