nRF52832 SoC selection

Hi,

I wanted to design a custom development board based on nRF52832 SoC. I will go with the exact schematic diagram which was given in Nordic supporting site (https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.nordic.infocenter.nrf52832.ps.v1.1%2Fref_circuitry.html&cp=3_1_0_52_0&anchor=schematic_qfn48_ldo)

Here I've few queries, please help me out to go further.

1.What is exact use of NFC module for this SoC ? In what way it adds benefit for our BLE application ?

2.What is the difference between nRF52832 QFAA - R , nRF52832 QFAA - T, nRF52832 QFAB - R7, nRF52832 QFAB - T. ?

Hi,

 

1) The NFC module lets you use the nRF52832 to implement a NFC-A type 2 or type 4 tag. You can read more about it here, and see the SW examples we have for it here, which gives an indication for what you can use it for. For BLE the most notable feature is probably touch-to-pair.

 

2) See this link. The AA or AB of QFAA/QFAB indicates the flash variant, R, T and R7 indicates the container in which the devices are delivered.

• nRF52832 QFAA - R: nRF52832 QFN84 with 512kB flash, 13" reel container
• nRF52832 QFAA - T: nRF52832 QFN84 with 512kB flash, tray container
• nRF52832 QFAB - R7: nRF52832 QFN84 with 256kB flash, 7" reel container
• nRF52832 QFAB - T: nRF52832 QFN84 with 256kB flash, tray container
