nRF9160 stuck at "Booting Zephyr OS build stage"

Hi, 

I've been working on UDP comunication so I looked into an example posted in the devzone that uses UDP (fetch time over NTP). I'm able to build and flash this application without any trouble however when I use the LTE link monitor, my application freezes at the following stage:

Any idea what might be causing this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

CONFIG_LTE_AUTO_INIT_AND_CONNECT is by default set to y, so the LTE Link Controller will automatically initialize and connect the modem before the application starts. But, if you are not able to connect to the network, you will not reach the main() function.

Did you get a connection to the network with the at_client sample?

Are you using lte-m or nb-iot ?

Hi,

I was able to connect with the network with the at_client sample. I'm using NB-IoT (AT%XSYSTEMMODE=0,1,0,0) for both samples.

The problem remains that the udp_with_psm sample causes the nRF9160 DK to become unresponsive.

Try setting these in prj.conf:

CONFIG_LTE_NETWORK_MODE_NBIOT=y

CONFIG_LTE_NETWORK_MODE_LTE_M=n
