Rust support for the nrf52840-mdk development board

Hello,

I'd like to evaluate the Rust HAL for the nrf52 family of devices. But before that I was asked to inquire about the stage of development of the HAL and the support/maintenance for it.

So my questions are:

1. Currently, at what stage of development is the Rust HAL?
2. Do you have any plan to keep the project alive?
3. Would you suggest to take it into consideration as a valid alternative to the C/C++ HAL?

I found this blog post (https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nordic-blog/b/blog/posts/rust-bindings-to-nrf52-series) and there is a repo on GitHub for a Rust HAL (an HAL written in Rust Language) for the nrf52 family of device. I wanted to know if Nordic is officially supporting it.

Neither the poster there, nor the Github repo, seems to be "officially" Nordic?
