I'm attempting to use the UDP with PSM sample provided at this Nordic nrf9160 samples branch.  I haven't changed anything within the sample itself. I've been using it to demonstrate the PSM capabilities of the device. Last week the sample seemed to be working. However, I tried it a day or two ago and now I constantly get this EIO error that is returned by the lte_lc.c file within the project.

I've attached a log file captured from the Link Monitor output. In it you can see I am able to send AT commands, but I am returned an EIO error from the PSM sample.  Any idea how to get past this error?

Did you do anything else when this started to happen ? e.g. did you update to latest commit on master branch or something similar?

Do you see the same issue if you checkout the v1.0.0 tag? (remember to run west update afterwards)

I've changed between v0.4.0 and v1.0.0 to see if there was any difference. With the v0.4.0 SDK I can't get the project to build because of some missing files issue.

So v1.0.0 builds and compiles correctly but I still have this EIO issue.

If you still get the same error, you might need to increase the PSM interval requested, i.e. the CONFIG_LTE_PSM_REQ_RPTAU. As mentioned here, "If the USIM profile in use is a Verizon one, the minimum value for <Requested_Periodic-TAU> is 190 minutes."

Your udp_psm.hex file didn't solve the issue. However, your suggestion of changing the PSM interval to 190 minutes worked! Thanks so much. Appreciate your quick responses!
