nRF51822 with MATLAB

Hi there,

I was wondering it it is possible to use MATLAB as a central device, using a third party dongle?

The MATLAB Instrumentation Contol Toolbox can be used to control bluetooth devices, however I am not sure this appropriate as it would require the nRF51822 to have a Bluetooth Serial Port Profile.

    We don't have any experience in using MATLAB as central towards our chips. It might be possible, but I'm not familiar with what functionality is available through MATLAB instrumentation Control Toolbox. If you have full access to the BLE interface, there shouldn't be any issues using it with any profile.

    Bluetooth Serial Port profile is a BR/EDR profile and not available for Bluetooth Low Energy as far as I know.
