10K Nodes in a single network

Hi,

Please help to suggest if 10K Nodes in a single network with 100 Kbps data rate is achievable with data transmission interval being roughly every 30 seconds.

This will be a battery operated device.

Kindly suggest the best possible topology to achieve the same.

Thanks

  • Hi.

10K Nodes in a single network with 100 Kbps data rate

Is 100 kbps the measured as total for all 10k nodes?

I understand that there is 10000 nodes in a network. Each node wants to transmit once per 30s. How many data bytes do they want to transmit? Which layer are we talking about when referring to "data to transmit"?

A Zigbee network have 250 kbps and can handle over 10k nodes, but you will have a higher probability of address conflicts when commissioning that many nodes.

    Best regards,

    Andreas
