Embedded Studio Crashes for 'Activate Your Free License'

Hi,

I have installed Embedded Studio for ARM v4.22. However, the studio crashes when I select 'Activate Your Free License'. Reinstalling does not help, and neither a different version. Does anybody know a way out?

I just solved the problem. At startup when prompted to activate license, do not click on 'Activate Your Free License'. Instead click on 'read user agreement'. That way the studio will open without crash. Then install the 'free license' following instructions from license.segger.com/Nordic.cgi

It works but each time I launch Embedded studio, I have to reinstall the license. It is quite annoying. Is there a fix to this problem?

I'm afraid haven't seen this issue before. 

On which platform are you using SEGGER Embedded studio?

You can get support directly regarding their products on https://www.segger.com/ .

We can also ask if SEGGER - Johannes has seen anything like this before?

I am using on Windows 10 Pro, Version 1903.  It is strange a problem.

The problem disappears once I opened a project that has a Nordic device as target.
