DTM test

Hi,

I'm using SDK 15.2. I flashed the dtm firmware on the BLE chip. How can I test its working before sending it to the certifier? I have nrfgo studio & I'm able to start & stop the test. I didnt understand what to do after that. Additional tools available with me are Nordic development boards, uart sniffer & spectrum analyzer. How do I check the parameters on my custom board using these tools. I have taken out the rx & tx pins & connected them to USB-UART converter & nrfgo studio detects it & without ay error it can start & stop the test. Also should I combine the radio test example, throughput example with dtm code to get the certification done?

If you want to test if it´s working, you can send a TX unmodulated carrier, and see if you see that on the spectrum analyzer.

Thanks . How do I send the unmodulated carrier? Is there a dtm command for that?

Hi Sonal, 

the DTM application is designed to be used with a BLE tester and is only responding to DTM specific commands, documented in the Bluetooth Core spec. For DTM, you can see this, and here for the DTM library . 

You can use the nRFgo Studio to set up the TX with DTM. 

If your doing FCC or similar certification I would recommend using the Radio test example.
