NRF91 Segger Embedded Studio - License is not remembered & Package conflict

I am trying to setup a VM (Ubuntu 19.04) that has the complete setup for NRF91 development.  I have been following the instructions in the nrfConnect 3.2.0 - getting Started assistant.

Step 3 has a link to download a special version of segger embedded studio.    I extracted to ~/arm_segger_embedded_studio_v420a_linux_x64_nordic

1.) 

I ran arm_segger_embedded_studio_v420a_linux_x64_nordic/bin/emStudio.     It throws up a dialog to request a license.  I followed the procedure and is said it was successfully activated.     It seems though that this dialog comes up every time I restart SES.

Is this normal behavior?

2.)   When I start emStudio, I get the following dialog:

Hi!

 1. This is a known issue. Building an NCS project gets rid of this dialog box. 

2. It's not normal, but it is known. We don't know why it appears, but it doesn't matter what you select to get rid of it.
