The Virtual COM port of nRF9160 disappear

Hi Sir,

In normal, we can see three virtual COM ports in nRF connect - programmer, first is for nRF9160, second is for nRF52840, the last is for nRF9160 but not use.

Then I tried to add the new device to nRF cloud, and then program the firmware (access tracker), when reboot, there is one COM port disappear.

Only two COM ports display in the nRF connect - programmer.

I tried to use the tera term to connect the COM32, and it display "NRF52840 board control statically configured. DK Uptime is 760 seconds".

So, I guess the COM32 is for nRF52840, and the COM port that for nRF9160 disappeared.

Could you help to how to recover the COM port of nRF9160?

Hi Han,

Please make sure that none of the COM ports are used in some other applications when you connect the device to the Programmer app.

Please try to check that all the COM ports are available through device manager:

The COM port which has the MI_00 in the "information" tab, is UART which is used for logging and AT host library if you have that enabled.

Also, make sure that you are running the board controller FW on the nRF52
