Is the nRF51822 pin-for-pin compatible with nRF51422?
I can't find any distributor stock of nRF51822-QFAC.
I see the eval kit has nRF51422. I don't need ANT functionality; What do you recommend I specify in my BOM?

As long as you register an account at Nordic (mypage.nordicsemi.com) you should be able to download the specs for both of those
www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51822
www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51422
under the 'downloads' tab. I believe those you can access without a product key, just need an account.
I looked at both and they appear to be pin-for-pin compatible, which was my understanding previously as well.
If you don't need ANT then the 51822 ought to be a cheaper choice.
I can confirm RK's answer. They are pin compatible. In fact nRF51822 and nRF51422 are the same chip, the only difference is that you can flash whatever Nordic softdevice onto nRF51422 (BLE and/or ANT) but nRF51822 can only be flashed with BLE softdevices. You can fully develop on the nRF51422 and if you only need BLE, you can order nRF51822 for your production samples, as it is cheaper than nRF51422.
Compatibility of different things can be seen in the nRF51 Compatibility Matrix
