Segger License became No commercial-use does this affect compilation ??

Hi,

After a recent windows update I found that when Segger Embedded Studio starts it gives a pop-up No commercial-use license detected. Solution compiles ok. Can this cause trouble with App Running ?? And any idea why it happened. I registered for and activated Nordic specific free license when I started using Segger Embedded Studio

  • Hi

Are you able to activate your free (Nordic Semiconductor) license again? It should say at the top of your SES window if you're using a Nordic Semiconductor license or not, which will allow you to use the compiler for commercial use. As far as I know, there shouldn't be any difference in how the IDE works as a whole, whether you're using the commercial-use license or not, but please contact SEGGER to confirm this.

    Best regards,
