How can I get the RSRP while I am in PSM

Dear All,

I have noticed the following behaviour:

When the modem goes to PSM, it is not possible to retrieve the RSRP, using the CESQ or the XMONITOR AT commands. This is only possible before the PSM is enabled.

So for example, I can send a message  and then actually measure the RSRP, but I need to measure the RSRP before sending the message, as this value needs to be reported in my message.

So is there anyway to wake up the modem before sending a message, so that I can measure the RSRP properly?

 Could you just wake up the modem, measure RSRP and then send a message. Or am I missing something?

Because the only way that the modem wakes up is by actually sending a message

The AT+CPSMS command is used for enabling or disabling PSM.

 I don't understand what you mean by this. What message are you sending to wake up the modem?

Is there anything else that you want to reach out for that could be useful? Maybe you want network time? I'm other words, if you try to ping something then you will wake up the modem and get rsrp. Ifbibrecall correcyco however, rsrp isn't instantly available. I think the modem needs to be actively connected for some time.  2 cemts

Sorry for the late response,
I tried waking up the modem, using the following AT commands:

AT%NBRGRSRP
AT%XMONITOR
AT+CCLK?

Without any success. After I send those AT commands I am querying the modem for 30 seconds for the RSRP, but no success

Disabling PSM actually does the trick, on the cost of having to communicate with the network, but I guess there is no other way there.

What do you mean, without any success - you don't get any output from the commands?
