nrf51 ble driver on windows ce

Hi All,

We have embedded windows ce devices, and were thinking of adding ble functionality by connecting a small nrf51822 board through a serial port.

Would it be possible to use the nrf51 ble driver on ce platform? I assume one would need the s110_nrf51_ble_driver.dll (or s120) compiled for that platform, and for that we would need the source files for the dll.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

  • We haven't looked into Windows CE as platform and I don't think Nordic will at this point either. As you have discovered though we have a serialized interface available. The suggestion from our point of view would be to see if any virtual ports related to mBED of Segger that would be supported on your device and if they are able to handle .dlls. We don't have any plans on launching the source code for the drivers right now, so I can't say anything on that matter either unfortunately.

  • Hi, thanks for the answer, if I am to write my own driver is there a document describing what the nrf chip expects and responds for each call?

    Regards
