How to implement Long-range (Coded PHY) in Bluetooth Mesh?

I am presently working on Bluetooth Long-range and want to implement it in Bluetooth mesh. How can I do that?

Hi, 

The Bluetooth Mesh specification is based on the BLE v.4.2 specification, hence there are no BT5 features available in Mesh. This might be added in a later version of the specification.
It should be possible to create a test setup using long range and Mesh, but note that end product using BT5 LR will not be certified as they don't comply with the specification.

Hello Amanda,

Could you please let me know if there is an updated software patch or a workaround for using Mesh over Long range using nRF Connect SDK? Since the new package has a new software layout architecture and involves changing project configuration, it is difficult to replicate the changes mentioned above that are done in older SDK for Mesh.
