power measurement on nRF50832

I have a DK52 with another device at attached to the SPI bus.  I also have a PPK.   Should

I connect the second device to VDD_nrf to count as a load?  right now it is connected

to VDD and it doesn't make any difference if I turn it on or off.

  • Hi Jared,

I want to measure the nRF current with different parameters (advertising and connection) to establish a baseline.

Secondly,  I'd like to measure the current of my device off the SPI bus.

I think what I'm getting from the DK and PPK schematics is that if I want to measure anything with the PPK it has to be supplied by the VDD_nrf.

thanks for replying to my question.

  • Hi,

    1. See the quick start guide for how to measure the current consumption of an application on the nRF.
    2. You can use the method described in the quick start guide and simultaneously supply the external device from VDD_NRF

    Yes, this is correct.
