how many ble 4.0 devices can connect up to the nRF51822 IC through ble 4.0 while the nRF51822?

hi, I was wondering how many active ble 4.0 devices can the nRF51822 IC support at one time?

  • Please note that this is limited by the SoftDevice you flash onto the IC, not the IC itself. The current S110 SoftDevice, as Ole Morten pointed out, can only act as a peripheral (i.e. slave) meaning a single connection with a master is all the device can do. Future SoftDevices which implement the central (master) role may allow you to connect to more peripheral (slave) devices at once.
