PCA10040 Programming- license/ (File is of unknown support format ) error

Hi I have been using the https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRF_Sniffer_UG_v2.2.pdf I wish to program my nrf52832 device with a hex. Using the j-link commander tool. i get "file is of unknown / supported format." error. If I use J-flash tool I get the error "no valid license for J-Flash" .

How would i get a license or program the board a in a different method.

Hi,

You need to add quotation marks around the path to the hex-file. As you can see from the log, J-Link is trying to flash a file named "C:\Program", since it does not catch the whitespace in "Program Files".

You can also flash the firmware using nrfjprog.
