nRF Connect to Desktop - can't find the place to bond to the DK

On the Mac machine, I open the Bluetooth Low Energy app of the nRF Connect for Desktop, connect to the nRF52 DK, and try to find the button to perform bonding, as the SDK said as following:

Connect to the device from nRF Connect (the device is advertising as 'Nordic_HTS'), then bond to the device. To bond, click the settings button for the device in nRF Connect, select "Pair", check "Perform Bonding", and click "Pair". Wait until the bond is established before you continue. Observe that the BSP_INDICATE_CONNECTED state is indicated.

However, I couldn't find the setting button, can't select 'Pair' and can't check 'Perform Bonding'.

I did see the perform bonding in the 'Security Parameters' menu in the Connection Map , but after I click 'Apply', nothing happened.

I also click 'Start Scan', but it only lists other BLEs and doesn't list the DK one. So I couldn't find the Nordic HTC app.

Please help me out here.

Thanks,

  • Hi,

You need to find and connect to device first. After you have connected, in the connection map, another device should pop up. The setting button should be at the upper right corner(look like a gear). Can you see if your DK is advertising(LED1 should be blinking)? If it is advertising, can you see if you can find the DK with nRF Connect for mobile?

Can you give me more details on what you have done so far? A step-by-step procedure?
