DFU CRC check issue on last Nrf_Connect mobile app (Android)

Hi all,

I noticed an issue on the last release of the NRF Connect mobile app at least on Adroid devices.

It seems that every time I am trying to make a secure DFU (buttonless) it returns a CRC Check error. But with the same files I can update successfully on NRF_Connect for Desktop and also I was able to do it successfully on last version of the mobile app with the same configuration.

I tested on an android 9 device (OnePlus 6) .

Best regards,

Sylvain

  • Hi Sylvain

Are you able to share some more details regarding this error? What example is flashed onto your nRF device? What SDK version are you using? What nRF device are you using, is it a Development Kit or a custom board? Can you upload a log from the nRFConnect app showing the error code you get?

    Best regards,

    Simon

  • Hi Simon,

I am using the smart remote 3 (v1.2.1alpha) example  which use SDK v14.2.

    I work on a custom nRF52832xxAB.

But as I was saying, I've done lots and lots of DFU using the app and it worked just fine. It only seems to have an issue with the last version also knowing that with the exact same configuration I am able to do the DFU with the nRF Connect Desktop.

I am just reporting the bug I saw as I can use the nRFConnect Desktop for my development. I think you should be able to easily reproduce the bug.

    Best regards,

    Sylvain
