nRF52840 Reset taking good amount of time

Hi,

I am testing the ble blinky example as it is from SDK v16.0.0. I am seeing a good amount of time(~340ms) from reset(pin reset) to advertise the first packet. I am keen to know that cause.

I don't find any information regarding this time in DS.

Could you please let me know the cause?

Hi Sridhar

Most of this startup time is the LFXO startup, which is specified in the product specification to take ~250ms. This, plus initialization of the radio, etc. accumulate to the ~340ms you are seeing, so this is the expected reset time for a reset when using the external LF clock.
