Programming external nRF5340 using nRF5340 PDK

Hi,

I'm trying to program our custom development board which has an nRF5340 on it using the external JLINK on the nRF5340 dev kit. However, during a simple read of the cpuregisters to see if we can connect, we are seeing the following error:

segmentation fault: 11

We have tried running the dev-kit at 1.8V so the voltages are compatible and still see the same issue. We have no trouble reading the nRF5340 on board the dev-kit.

We are using the latest 10.5.0 version of nrfjprog and 6.54c of the JlinkARM.dll.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For anyone interested - to answer my own question it turns out our SWDIO and SWDCLK were reversed (D'oh!).

So for anyone who sees similar errors - check your wiring! :-)

On the bright side, it does appear that the nRF53 dev-kit will indeed program an external nRF5340.
