How to get started with nRF52 DK?

Hi all,

I have a nRF52 DK (PCA10040 V1.2.1), and I want to learn how to develop on macOS.

I read from this link, and I got following information.

But I cannot know where the step 5 and step 7 is, if is the get-started content updated?

I appreciate your help.

Congratulations on getting your nRF52 DK!
On this page we'll show you how to connect and power up your nRF52 DK, and what to expect when you do so.

This will take about 20 minutes.

Before you start:

1. You need a reasonably current Windows PC to perform the following.
2. Your nRF52 DK must be running firmware v1.1.0 or later.
   DKs with hardware revision 1.1.0 or later, are shipped with this firmware.
   If step 5 below fails:
   1. Click here to download firmware version 1.1.0 or later, and
   2. continue from step 7 to program the new firmware into your nRF52 DK.

Hi,

Sorry, but not sure I understand the question. Did it fail at both step 5 and 7 for you? You can try the Programmer app in nRF Connect for Desktop instead if it's the drag and drop programming that's not working.
