Problem with connecting to device

After not having used my Thingy52 for a number of months, I decided to get back to tinkering with it.

When switching it on, it briefly shines a red light and nothing else. I have put it on charge for a number of hours (with the power switch ON) and am still not able to discover the device.

Apart from the brief red light shine on and off when I put the power switch on, nothing else happens.

What am I doing wrong? Is my device broken?

  • Hi

Have you ever changed the firmware in the Thingy, either by using the DFU mechanism or by connecting a programmer to the 10-pin J-Link port?

Will it work if you turn it on while it's charging over USB, or does it behave the same in this case?

Could you try to turn it on while keeping the button pressed to see if the bootloader is still available?

    Best regards
