Antenna Options for nrf52840

Hi there, I am a Novice in RF Board design/Antennas, particularly with nRF52 series so I have some quick questions ..

1)What are the Antenna Options for nrf52840 in mesh Networking that can provide long Range?

2)Where to get the Altium library for that antenna?

3)Can I keep provisions for two different types of antennas?

4)Which one out of the 6 Configuration provided in nRF52840 datasheet "'https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRF52840_PS_v1.1.pdf'' is used in nRF52840 DK?

    1. You can either use printed antennas like what's done on the nRF52 DKs or the nRF52840 Dongles, or you can use BLE chip antennas. The chip antennas are supplied by vendors as we do not make chip antennas ourselves, but to mention some, Johanson Technology, Taiyo Yuden, and TDK all have good BLE antennas. I suggest checking out the component distributor of your choosing (Digikey, Mouser, etc.) and search for Bluetooth chip antenna to find the antennas interesting to you.

    2. Altium files for the printed antennas can be found in the DK hardware files, downloadable here. For hardware files for chip antennas, you should contact the vendors. We do have a chip antenna on our Thingy:52, with HW files downloadable here.

    3. You can choose between two antennas in a design, but you'll can't use both simultaneously, and have to choose between them. THis is usually done by having a not connected resistor footprint in both antenna traces, and mounting a 0R on the antenna trace you're using.

    4. The DK uses a mix between config. 4 and 5, as it has an NFC antenna, can be powered from VDD and VDDH, and has the external DCDC regulator in its design. You can see the exact layout in the DK hardware files I linked to.
