Thingy 52 DFU not working and other issues

Hi,

We recently purchased a thingy 52 for evaluation H/W 1.1.0 F/W 2.0.1

We are using an iPhone 8 with the latest Nordic apps.

When we connect using the the Thingy app we do not see any feedback from the device.

When we try to DFU the firmware we get the error: Could not obtain peripheral instance.

When we connect to the nRF Cloud we are able to detect the device and it's info but we are not able to see sensor info or control the device LED etc.

Please can you advise what we should do to resolve these issues.

Thanks

  • Hello,

The DFU issue is related to incompatibility between the DFU library version shipped with this app and more recent versions of iOS. The workaround, for now, is to update it through nRF connect as you did. Unfortunately, I'm not sure why the data is not being displayed on nRF cloud. I get the same result as you describe when I try it here. I have reported this as a bug internally.
