Voltage Regulator Recommendations for nRF51822

Hello All,

I am not an electronics engineer and have less experience with hardware. Posting here on behalf of my design engineer for help

In our nRF51822 based device, we would like to use a shunt regulator to regulate an external 5VDC power input in our PCB. While our design team recommended using TI's LDO Voltage Regulator TPS73633-EP, this part is not widely available, very expensive and has a large lead time for manufacturing.

We are wondering if anyone in this dev zone has suggestions of practical, low cost alternatives for this?

I don't think we have such recommendation. I know that some customers were looking into low-power switching regulators to feed supply power to the nRF51, but they are perhaps not very low cost. I include the references that I have for that, in case you might find it useful.
